The AIS/national team training facility for Sprint Canoe/Kayak was opened at Pizzey Park, Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast in June 1991, and became the permanent base for the AIS Canoeing program. The program is now camps-based, with AIS athletes from all over Australia coming together.

Pizzey Park Netball Club Inc. is a community orientated club, established in 1992 and is located in Miami, on the Gold Coast. We welcome players, coaches and umpires of all ages and levels to engage in the fun sport of netball each Winter and Spring seasons.
